Bart Van de Putte werkte gedurende 15 jaren bij een multinationaal bedrijf en deed ervaring op in verschillende nationale en internationale lijn-, project- en staf-functies.

Mens & Management
- Manage a crisis situation, lead and motivate the local team to change in order to restore employees’ and customer’s trust and the plant’s financial result.
- Build a Distribution Centre managers team over the country borders. Motivate them to work together and learn from each other.
- Lead several teams in different cultures and organization structures.
- Change the mind-set of the employees to customer-orientation and continuous improvement.
- Convince the employees to become multi-skilled and able to back up other functions in case of peaks in workload or absence of colleagues.
- Chair the Safety committee and works council. Negotiate and conclude a new labour regulation.
- Ensure EHS, ISO and legal compliance.
Process verbetering
- Leading assessments in the Distribution Centres with a rotating team of Distribution Centre managers to identify potential improvements. Realizing these gave a more than 10% savings in costs on two years while workload went up during the same period. Next to cost savings, improvements in service level, stock accuracy and other KPI were realized.
- Change of the transport-plan to reduce total cost of ownership of transport.
- Discuss and conclude changes in business processes in SAP to improve the way of working and to move in the direction of one ‘ best practice ’ in Europe.
- Proposals for adaptations to the existing warehouses in order to improve the service to the customers and decrease the costs.
Organizatie-wijzigingen
- Adapt working schemes and shift patterns for blue collar workers to changing workload.
- Initiate, discuss and conclude the change of the organization chart to a new one with less layers and staff personnel. Agree with works council and unions on steps and conditions.
- Plan and announce a headcount reduction. Negotiate terms and conditions with blue collar union. Implement the changes. Rebuild the team.
Supply Chain & Logistiek
- Manage tenders for outsourced warehousing and transport.
- Implement regional distribution (coming from a country-by-country organized distribution).
- Advise on work-allocation between the different warehouses, the location, size and lay-out of new warehouses, out- or in-sourcing.
- Design and project management for the building of a new warehouse.
